  2. Overkill's Historikill holds a whopping fourteen discs. These range from their studio albums, to two live albums, a double disc compilation and a bonus disc. The mentioned bonus disc is nothing particularly special but the rest of the content is well worth it for fans of heavy metal/5(9).
  3. The front cover is under developed and out of focus, there are no lyrics, credits or band photos in the CD booklet either. I was updating my Overkill collection to CD as I have the original Vinyl copy from and was looking forward to a quality product from Atlantic / Megaforce Records/5(73).

  5. Well, I've written a lot of Overkill reviews, and I dunno if I have anything new to say. 'I Hear Black' is perhaps there most reviled album, and while it certainly isn't in their upper tier this is still a solid metal album. I imagine it's largely hurt by the fact that it was preceded by their two best albums/5(63).
  6. The Wings of War (2LP grey in gatefold) One of North America's thrash pioneers, Overkill have spent over 3 decades crafting essential metal masterpieces like "Taking Over", "The Years of Decay" and 's "The Grinding Wheel". Overkill comes charging /5().
  7. The European leg of the "World Of Hurt Tour" featured Savatage and Non-Fiction as support acts. Overkill's self-produced seventh album W.F.O. (which stands for "Wide Fuckin' Open", a common biker term) was released in September as an answer to the criticism that I Hear Black had received.
